Busch Gardens Williamsburg Information
Busch Gardens Williamsburg is 3 mi. e. on US 60 or off I-64 exit 243. This European-themed adventure park celebrates the cultures of England, Scotland, France, Germany, Italy and Ireland. Dozens of thrill rides and attractions, ten main stage shows, a children's adventure area eateries and shops are in the park's hundred acres. The pulse-quickening Apollo's Chariot plummets 825 feet, and the inverted coaster Alpengeist takes "skiers" on a chilling ride at speeds up to 67 mph. The Big Bad Wolf, a free-flight coaster, flies through a Bavarian village. Loch Ness Monster, a serpentine ride, has double interlocking loops.
Curse of DarKastle sends guests aboard gravity-defying sleighs careening through the dark and mysterious corridors of a Bavarian castle. Roman Rapids is a white-water raft ride, and Escape from Pompeii, with an erupting Mt. Vesuvius, results in a wet retreat from the volcano. Jack Hanna's Wild Reserve is an up-close visit with wolves. Ireland is celebrated with strolling entertainers and the 3-D action journey of Corkscrew Hill.
